7 Things You Can Do to Make Life Changes – Identify the benefits to keep engaged in the goal process


Once I have identified the parameters that tell me what the limits are that I am prepared to honour, I next need to define the benefits to sustaining this goal process.  The benefit to identifying the goal, setting the limits for the goal, and identifying the benefits to goal achievement may be this:  I will lose 10 pounds in one month by limiting the numbers of time per week that we go to restaurants and drink wine.

The limits to this habit which we love to do but we need some discipline on how often we do it, will be to go out no more than two times per week. The benefit to reducing this out to dinner habit is that I will be healthier; we will save more money so that we can do other things; I will look and feel more attractive because of the weight reduction and the better health.
